How professional Christmas light installation works

166 Five-Star Google Reviews

From the first phone call to the last strand coming down in January, here is exactly what happens and what you are responsible for. Short version: a 30-minute walk of your property, one decision, and then nothing.

Free design consult

A walk of your property to look at rooflines, peaks, columns, entryways, and trees. Real light samples come along so you can compare warm white, cool white, and color on your own house instead of guessing from a photo. Measurements are confirmed on the spot. About 20–30 minutes.

Your design & price

You get a specific design for your home and an exact price for the full season in writing. Nothing is ordered, nothing is owed, and nothing is scheduled until you say yes.

Installation

Installations begin October 1. Lights are cut to fit your roofline, clipped with non-penetrating clips, cords are hidden, and timers are set. The display is tested before anyone leaves. You do not need to be home.

Service & takedown

If a section goes dark or a run loosens after a storm, call or text and it gets fixed at no extra charge. In January everything comes down, gets labeled and coiled by section, and is stored until next year.

What you are responsible for

Almost nothing, and that is the point. You choose the look at the design consultation and approve the price. After that:

  • No lights to buy, untangle, test, or replace
  • No ladder work, and no climbing on a wet roof in December
  • No boxes taking up your garage for eleven months
  • No January Saturday spent taking it all back down

Why the design walk happens in person

An accurate price for holiday lighting is not something anyone can give over the phone or from a satellite photo. Roof height changes the equipment needed. Roof pitch changes how long the work takes. Gutter condition, fascia material, and tree cover all change what will actually hold and how it will read from the street.

Walking the property is what makes the price exact instead of a guess that moves later. It is free, it takes about half an hour, and there is no obligation to book.

Common questions

How long does the design consultation take?

Plan on about 20 to 30 minutes. The walk covers your roofline, peaks, columns, entry, and any trees worth lighting, with real light samples on hand so you can compare warm white against cool white and color in person rather than guessing from a photo.

How long does installation take?

Most residential installations are finished in a single day. Larger homes with multiple stories, long rooflines, or extensive tree and column work can run into a second day. You do not need to be home during installation.

When do the lights come down?

Takedown runs through January and is included in the season price. Everything is removed, labeled by section, coiled, and stored until next season, so nothing ends up in your garage.
