These terms apply to your use of this website and to Christmas lighting services provided by ShipShape Exteriors ("we," "us," or "our"). By using this site, submitting a form, or booking an installation, you agree to these terms.

Quotes and estimates

Prices shown on this site are starting prices and are not offers. An exact price is provided in writing after a free on-site design consultation, and is based on the roofline, roof height, number of peaks and planes, vertical elements, and any landscape lighting included in the design.

A written quote is valid for the season it was issued. Changes you request after the design is approved may change the price, and any change will be confirmed with you before work continues.

Booking, deposits, and payment

A deposit reserves your installation date. The balance is due at installation unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. Your date is not held until the deposit is received.

Installations begin October 1 each year and are scheduled in the order bookings are confirmed.

Cancellation and rescheduling

If you cancel before materials have been cut and prepared for your property, your deposit is refundable. Once lights have been cut to fit your roofline they are specific to your home, and the deposit covers that work.

We may reschedule installation, service, or removal for weather or unsafe conditions. Rescheduling for safety is not a cancellation, and we will contact you to arrange a new date.

Access to your property

You are responsible for providing safe access to the areas being lit, including gates, pets secured, and reasonable access to an exterior power source. If access cannot be provided on the scheduled date, an additional trip may need to be scheduled.

You confirm that you own the property or are authorized to approve work on it. For rental, HOA-governed, or commercial properties, obtaining any required permission or approval is your responsibility.

Materials and ownership

Lights, clips, cords, and timers used in your installation are provided by and remain the property of ShipShape Exteriors. They are removed in January and stored between seasons. Materials are not sold to you unless agreed separately in writing.

Installation standards and your home

Lights are attached with non-penetrating clips sized to the surface. Nothing is nailed, stapled, screwed, or glued to your home.

We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, including damaged, loose, rotted, or improperly installed gutters, fascia, shingles, or trim, or for wiring or electrical systems that are not adequate for the display. If we identify a condition that makes installation unsafe, we will tell you before proceeding.

Service during the season

If a section goes dark or a run loosens during the season, contact us and it will be repaired at no extra charge. This covers the lighting we installed. It does not cover damage caused by third parties, animals, storms beyond normal weather, or anything altered or removed by someone else.

Removal and storage

Removal takes place in January. Materials are labeled, coiled, and stored until the following season. Requests to remove lights significantly earlier than the scheduled window may be accommodated where the schedule allows.

Website content

Photographs on this site are of actual installations we performed. Content, copy, images, and the ShipShape Exteriors name and logo are our property and may not be copied or reused without permission.

We work to keep pricing, availability, and service area information current, but content on this site may change without notice and is provided without warranty of accuracy or completeness.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the services or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the services in the season the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Insurance

ShipShape Exteriors is licensed and insured. A certificate of insurance is available on request for commercial, HOA, and property management customers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Leon County, Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version posted on this page at the time you book applies to that booking, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version.
